Privacy policy
skEYEwatch VMS · Last updated November 3, 2026
This policy explains what information skEYEwatch Inc. ("skEYEwatch", "we", "us") handles when you use skEYEwatch VMS: the website at vms.skeyewatch.com, the skEYEwatch VMS mobile app, and the skEYEvue and RAILvue services they provide (together, "the Service"). The Service is a business tool. Accounts are created by the company that operates the vehicles ("your organization"), not by individuals.
1. Who is responsible
For vehicle data (locations, video, alarms and driver records), your organization decides what is collected and why, and we handle it on its behalf. For your account information, we are responsible together with your organization.
2. What we collect
- Account information: your name, email address, mobile number (if given), role, the fleets you can see, and your settings such as language, units and time zone.
- Sign-in and security information: your password (stored only as a secure hash), your two-step sign-in settings, the devices you trust for sign-in, sign-in times, IP address, and a record of actions taken in your account.
- Vehicle data from your organization's in-vehicle recorders: GPS location, speed, ignition and mileage; live and recorded video and sound from the vehicle's cameras; alarms and events; and the drivers, notes and reason codes your organization adds.
- Videos you share: the email address or mobile number you send a shared video to.
- On your phone: if you tap "My location" on the map, the app uses your phone's location to show where you are. It is not sent to us or stored. Face ID, Touch ID or fingerprint sign-in is handled by your phone: we never receive your biometric data, only a secure key that it unlocks.
We do not use your information for advertising and we do not sell it. The app contains no advertising, analytics or tracking tools.
3. How we use it
To provide the Service: to show your fleet's vehicles, video, routes and alarms; to sign you in and keep your account secure; to send the emails and text messages you ask for (sign-in codes, password links, shared videos and the alerts your organization sets up); to provide support; and to meet legal obligations.
4. Who we share it with
Only with service providers that help us run the Service and must protect your information: cloud hosting and storage (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure), maps (Google Maps, which receives your device's internet address and the map area you view), and email and text message delivery (including Twilio for text messages). Your organization can see the information in its accounts. We also share information when the law requires it. A shared video can be watched by anyone who has its link until the link expires (at most 90 days) or is revoked.
5. How long we keep it
Account information is kept while your account is active and removed when your organization or we delete the account, unless the law requires us to keep it. Vehicle locations are kept for up to about one year; videos are kept until your organization deletes them; shared video links last at most 90 days; security records are kept for a limited time.
6. Security
Information travels over encrypted connections, passwords are stored only as secure hashes, two-step sign-in is available, and each account sees only the fleets it is assigned. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
7. Your choices and rights
You can view and update your name, contact details and settings in the app or on the website. To get a copy of your information, correct it or have your account deleted, ask your organization's administrator or contact us. Depending on where you live, local law may give you further rights, and we will respond to requests as that law requires. You can turn off location access for the app at any time in your phone's settings.
8. Cookies
The website uses only the cookies it needs to work: one that keeps you signed in, one that remembers this browser for sign-in security, and one that remembers your language. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
9. Children
The Service is for businesses and is not meant for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect children's information.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we will tell you in the Service about important changes.
11. Contact
